Rebonded Foam Available

Rebonded foam, also known as rebond, reclaimed foam and scrap foam, is a flexible, open-cell type of polyurethane foam that has a near-infinite amount of applications due to the following characteristics:

  • Compressibility
  • Cushioning
  • Energy absorption
  • Fabricatibility
  • Flexibility
  • Light-weight
  • Low thermal conductivity
  • Low water vapor transmission
  • Mildew-resistance
  • Resiliency
  • Sound absorption
  • Vibration dampening

Manufacturing Rebonded Foam

New England Foam stocks 4 LB rebonded foam and 6 LB rebonded foam in bun form in addition to fabricating rebonded foam products to custom designed specifications. Rebonded foam is manufactured by grinding reclaimed scraps of polyurethane foam into smaller pieces and then combining those pieces with a liquid substrate that bonds the foam together resulting in a uniformly dense slabstock bun of rebonded polyurethane foam ready for fabrication.
